There exists a long-standing rivalry between those possessing bloodlines of Momotarou and Oni. The latter are known for being reckless, impulsive, and disorderly, while the Momotarou work diligently to protect humans from the Oni's uncontrollable behavior. Shiki Ichinose, a teenager with a rebellious and irresponsible demeanor, takes pride in his expulsion from school. Despite his behavior, Shiki's foster father, Tsuyoshi, cares deeply for him. Tsuyoshi's unconditional love becomes apparent when a Momotarou arrives in search of Shiki. Tsuyoshi, who is also a Momotarou, has kept Shiki's Oni origins a secret from him while hiding him for years. He sacrifices his life to save Shiki, confessing everything in his final moments. Shiki's Oni blood awakens for the first time in response, transforming him into an uncontrollable monster consumed with rage and thirst for vengeance. Naito Mudano, an Oni teacher at the Rakshasa Academy, becomes aware of Shiki's outburst and takes notice. The institution is designed to guide young Oni in mastering their abilities and gaining an understanding of their natures. Before Shiki can seek retribution for his father's sacrifice, he must learn to control his impulsive nature and fight against his own demonic blood.
