On her first day of high school, Midori Nanami accidentally drops her wallet, which is then found and returned by a considerate boy. Unfortunately, when she tries to express gratitude, he disappears before she has the chance. It isn't until later that Midori discovers the boy is Rei Ichijou, one of her classmates. However, Rei and his friends, Yukinojo Ieiri and Chihiro Goshima, suddenly stop attending school.
